Evaline Franks is the Senior Program Officer for Women First's East African portfolio of partners. She leads the implementation of Women First’s grantmaking model, develops strategies for women’s economic empowerment, and uses her academic and professional knowledge to foster meaningful relationships with Women First’s grantee partners and communicates their successes and challenges to various stakeholders.
Evaline spent several years living in Australia, where she graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations & Business from Bond University, as well as a Master’s Degree in Development Practice from the University of Queensland. Evaline believes in the power of collaboration when working towards economic justice.
Evaline is an expert in baking all things sourdough and seeking adventures. She currently lives in New Orleans with her dog that is appropriately named Biscuit.She is also a passionate advocate for sexual health and reproductive rights in the United States and can often be found volunteering on the weekends.
